CREATIVE JUNCTION {BUILD A KIT} – APRIL 2012 FILES

By definition “junction” is the act of joining or the state of being joined. Creative is where the ScrapDelicious Designers come in… we get creative with design. You put the two words together and you get ” Creative Junction”. Each month we give our designers a new CJ color swatch. They use it to create paper packs, element packs, mini kits, QPs, or anything else their hearts desire. Those items get loaded into the special Creative Junction category in the shoppe at SD. The idea is you get to build your own kit using the bits and pieces from each of the designers creations. Head on over to the special section of the SD shoppe, choose any of the color swatches below that look appealing to you, click it and you’ll get to see the pieces the designers have created using that swatch. MY CREATIVE LIFE WORKSHOP {2012} | A Deeper Look
Did you know our {2012} My Creative Life Workshop includes monthly articles and tutorials for programs such as Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, and Paint Shop Pro? I thought I’d share a glimpse at one of the tutorials included in the March 2012 edition of our workshop because I’m so passionate about this particular technique. Most people would be surprised to see how easy it is to create a sketch from a photo in either black and white or with a splash of color. In this tutorial I walk you through the simple, quick, and easy steps needed to acheive just the right look. Best of all, there’s no action’s or special/expensive filters required to create this look, and you’ll learn about some of the basic filters already available to you in your graphics program! If you’re a Paint Shop Pro user (or other popular graphics programs) you’ll be able to follow along and achieve these same kinds of results in your program of choice.

Here’s an adorable photo of my grandson, Kade. I took this photo of him in my yard about a year ago. The second I saw the picture I knew I wanted to use the techniques I share in the tutorial and create sketches from it.
